Thrifty shopper eyes abandoned iPads

Waynell and I spent the 5th through the 8th in the Franklin Wal-Mart.

The temperature was high at 74 degrees, which means the store is now teeming with semi-nude people.

I met with the District Manager from the Virginia Wal-Mart Area this week. I braved it by not calling in, and came to work. I helped set up the store to handbook standards so we wouldn’t get written up, and decided to roll a little inventory into the itinerary.

On Tuesday, we met a fellow who wanted to buy all the iPad 3’s in stock which we were having difficulty selling.  Can you believe it?  He was from out of town, but read our fine local newsrag online. He heard about the plight of our iPads not selling out and could see a bargain.

My role was like a guide, I guess you could say. All I know is he was glad not one of those iPads got sold..

I did bring up some other cool stuff I thought he would like, some Android tablets and iPad 2’s, and he just scoffed at me saying, “I wasn’t born in the technological age to play with that decrepit old shit.”

So, anyway we finished up with that excursion Tuesday afternoon and he went on his merry way.

On several occasions this shift, I watched the new girl working the area and I noticed she was watching me also. She would come up pretty close to me, and start blowing at me.  Could it be a blooming office romance? I’ve included a picture to see what you guys think.

A few moments later while I was still gawking at her, some youngins came up and kicked me in the shins. I could hear the excitement in their voices as they hauled off on my ass.

I told my managers about these hellions, and he asked me how big they were. I estimated the biggest at 50 pounds.  He told me to stop being a p****.

How terrible I thought, here are these young folks running rampant through our store, kicking adults in the shins. As I sat there by the break room, reflecting on my countless nightmarish beatings, it was disappointing to know what the world has come to at the store we call the local Wal-Mart.
